Sony has not done as well as expected and does not show many signs of better PS3 future either.
Game after game, nothing really changes, everyone said "just wait till MGS4"..."just wait till LBP is out"... and now "just wait till Killzone 2 comes"...
2 of those great games are out, yet Sony failed in Christmas sales...in a biggest season when people actually do buy this stuff.
There are actually games coming where you play as your Avatar. There is one already available. NXE is new thing, just wait and more Avatar related content will appear.
Not really anything new, Sony wont cut the price anytime soon. Hopefully someday though.

Yes, but obviously PS3 doesn't have enough good exclusives. It's failing oddly...must be the price and lack of AAA exclusives to make it really worthy.
Every damn game matters, exclusive or multiplatform. It is the choices you have what really matters.
If you can play certain game in PC, 360 or PS3... you don't have to go and buy other expensive machine just to enjoy some title.
Though, in console war point of view, PS3 really needs all the exclusives it can get. That is obvious.
If they manage to get even close to the mood what Alien/Aliens offer.. then it's a must have.
Why do you think they force you to preorder the game to be able to play the demo?... to me it sounds they are really afraid...really really afraid.
If the game is good, DEMO will always be free. There is no logic in forcing you to buy the game to be able to play DEMO.
DEMO is for buying decision.
What I don't get is why do people buy Xbox360 if PS3 is so damn good and offers all the same things and even better, according to PS3 fans?
Yet 360 breaks up, explodes, melts, burns your house, kills your kids or gets you killed....and still people get a new one even after 10th RROD.

Playstation brand has always been the leader, eeeeeenormous userbase/fanbase. Try to beat that... hmm...seems Microsoft and Xbox is pretty much doing it atm.
No one did expect 360 to do this well. Imagine where it would be if the so called RROD would have never happened. PS3 would be DEAD already... now it just takes a bit more longer for PS3 to die.

What ever you do, enjoy this game if you can. It will be a blast for sure! Alan Wake is worthy investment, be it 360 or PC version.
